The Writing – Early Skills For Clicker 5 CD contains over 30 finished curriculum units (300+ gridsets) in the areas of language arts, life skills, social studies, science and other miscellaneous areas.

In each unit an initial content lead-in book provides students with introductory information about the subject matter which they will then write about.

After reading or listening to the book being read, students and teachers have eight writing activities or formats to have students use to write about the information they have just learned about. The writing activity formats range from errorless writing (click on a picture and a sentence is automatically written into a textbox ) up to and through a format where students insert a picture and a targeted sentence onto a page and then have to unscramble the words on a toolbar to rewrite the targeted sentence into a toolbox.

Note: The writing activities follow a continuum of small steps in moving students from errorless writing up to the point where they are unscrambling words and recording extra thoughts regarding the information they have been studying.

Additionally the CD contains ten easy-to-use templates which will allow teachers and therapists with an opportunity to create their own study units if they so choose.

The Dakota’s Adventures For Clicker 5 CD contains seventeen original books at two different reading levels. Once students have had a chance to read or listen to a book being read, they then have an opportunity to review their understanding and knowledge of the materials presented in the story through a wide variety of supporting activities.

These include spelling activities where words that were presented in the story are made available to the students to rewrite and spell correctly in a number of creative formats. There are also a wide variety of writing activities including copying sentences, writing in a “forced order” format, completing sentences, writing a comic strip, and also writing their own book using a number of the photos that were used in the original stories.

There is also Create Your Own Scene with a writing activity attached as well as Games, Reading and Comprehension activities for every book.

The Cause & Effect Puzzle Collection For Clicker 5 CD contains over fifty finished puzzles with content that is appropriate for all ages. Students are able to click anywhere on the puzzle’s four pieces and a piece will be removed with each click. On the fourth click the final puzzle piece is removed revealing the puzzle’s image. Then after a delay of approximately two seconds a video of the same subject is played as a reward.

In addition to the finished puzzles which are organized in various subfolders (i.e. music, people, animals, vehicles), there is an easy-to-use template provided which will allow you to create hundreds of your own puzzles if you so choose.

Dakota’s Discoveries includes eighteen original books that document the adventures of a thirteen year old dog first at a beach along the Pacific Ocean in the Northwestern United States. (i.e. Dakota And The Crab, Dakota’s Starfish Adventure). Additionally the books document Dakota’s adventures as she travels across the United States in a car and visits such sites as The Little Big Horn, Mount Rushmore, The Tennessee Aquarium, Stone Mountain and a Manatee Conservation Center. The collection also includes three original books on Dakota’s adventures on the island of St. Kitts which is where Dakota’s new home is.

This Clicker 5 based CD contains nearly two hundred finished activities in eight curriculum areas. Developed in collaboration with Fio Quinn, Learning Magic, Inc. is providing a wide variety of formats for student learning. There are eight external folders indicating the curricular areas the activities (i.e. gridsets) in that folder address. The folders include Language Arts, Science, Early Learning, Social Studies, Math, Music & Sounds, Games and Communication Boards. Inside of each external folder are a number of subfolders that contain a wide variety of activities in that area (i.e. Math – has counting, numbers, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplying, division, coordinates subfolders). Each of the subfolders then contains a number of different activities/gridsets that utilize different formats or techniques to provide quality instruction to students.

The Writing Bin – Early Skills two CD collection includes hundred seventy finished activities which are organized into various curriculum area folders. The activities within each folder provide a continuum of writing opportunities for early writers.

The activities are built upon seven flexible and easy-to-use templates that range from errorless writing up to and through a process where students first click on a picture to insert it on a page. Then they are provided with both a model sentence about the picture and a wordbank at the bottom of the screen which contains the words that make up the model sentence. The student then has the opportunity to write their own sentence by typing in a word, or using the wordbank’s contents or other devices of their choosing.
